Laboratories

The College boasts of laboratories including Pharmaceutics lab, Pharmaceutical Chemistry Lab, Pharmacognosy Lab, Anatomy, Physiology, and Health Education Lab, Biotechnology and Microbiology Lab, Pharmaceutical Analysis Lab, and Pharmacology Lab. The Laboratories of IPS College of Pharmacy are spacious, Well ventilated, Adequately illuminated, and Fully equipped with necessary accessories.

Library

Our library is well equiped spacious and have adequate number of textbooks, reference books, journals and periodicals are available in the library to meet the needs of the large number of students. The internet facility for online search gives the students the access to the world of information and knowledge.In addition to the text books and reference books, the library regularly subscribes to the periodicals related to pharmacy, allied health science, education, sports and games and other publications. Sincere efforts are made to provide knowledge support to the students.

Computer Lab

Our computer lab is most spacious international standard lab has 40 branded computers with 20 original softwares & certificates. All computers are connected with LAN and have floppy drives & CD Writers / CD ROM. High speed Internet facilities are available. All computers have UPS and comfortable seating with nice view of surrounding low hills.

Conference Hall

An ultra modern conference hall, with seating capacity of 300 persons is available. The hall has provision for LCD projector, sound system as well as OHP presentation.

Central Instrumentation Laboratory

This laboratory houses many sophisticated instruments like UV visible spectrophotometer (Shimadzu and Systronics), High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC system, Shimadzu), Fourier Transform Infrared Photometer (FTIR system), Brookfield Viscometer, Lyophillizer, Six Basket Dissolution Apparatus, Monitor-based Digital Balance, Stability Chamber, Refrigerated Centrifuge, etc.

Pharma Pilot Scale-up Plant

This plant helps make the students familiar with the working environment and machinery used in the pharmaceutical industry. The Pharma Pilot Scale-up Plant consists of tablet and capsule section, semi-solid formulation section, parenteral section, and liquid section as well as a quality control section.

Class Rooms

Well-ventilated and spacious class rooms equipped with appropriate teaching aids help the students in their learning process. Separate tutorial rooms are available in each college to provide special coaching sessions to those needing additional attention.

Medicinal Garden

The garden has three parts viz, Nursery, Medicinal garden, and a Fairly big Green House. The garden has around 120 rare species of medicinal plants.

Animal House

An animal house built under the guidance of experts in pharmacology, and approved by the CPCSEA, New delhi provides the students an opportunity to conduct practical classes. An ethical committee exists to ensure that the animals are used as per the guidelines of CPCSEA.
Presently, two species are regularly maintained i.e. mice and the rats. Animals are procured from the registered breeder. Animals are housed and maintained in accordance with CPCSEA guidelines. The animals are used for regular undergraduate experiments and for research projects of the PG students.
